7 days to go

A week from today I'll be married. It's funny because there's this huge build up- months of planning (and I mean months- we planned for over a year), and the big day is now just a few days away. I haven't gotten nervous or freaked out yet, at least no more than usual. As a person who doesn't react well to change, I think it's also due to the fact that Gary and I have been together for over nine years. We've been together while each of us has transitioned out of college and into the "real world" (what ever that is). It's been great because as we push ourselves to grow, we remind each other that some qualities are fine just the way they are.
So as our wedding day approaches I'm not stressed about if all of the small things work out. I know that Gary and I will be there, and that's what mainly matters.

Well, my dress isn't too shabby, so maybe I'm looking forward to that a little too.
And the Beatles cover band.
Hey, I've been feeling romantic, but I'm allowed to be excited too!

A New Day

Hello everyone!
So I'm still new to Chicago, but I thought a great way of me getting to know Chi-Town as well as keep up with my blog would be through my comfort zone- dance! I'm making a plan to see a new piece of dance every week, whether live or via video. I'm not saying all of these posts will be critiques, but rather stating what's out there.
Also, enforcing this statement, I have become an avid web viewer, so many things will be linked to my blog.
